¶ Bins
In Qwix, bins are the entities/skus required to keep stock. Use the Bins view to maintain bins. See Locations & Bins for more information.
¶ ADD
| CODE | The UNIQUE code for the bin |
| BARCODE | The Unique barcode (for scanning) of the bin |
| INDEX | The index/walkorder of the bin relative to other bins |
| ALLOW NEGATIVE STOCK | Checked if this bin is allowed to go into negative stock |
| EXCLUDE FROM STOCKTAKE | Checked if the bin should not be included in stocktake snapshots |
| DIRTY | Flagged by the system if the bin has been flagged as dirty (problematic) |
| DESCRIPTION | A Longer Description of the bin |
| ROW | The row position of the bin in a rack environment |
| COL | The column position of the bin in a rack environment |
| ISLE | The Alphanumeric isle designator the bin can be found in |
| CLASSIFICATION | The Bin Classification the Bin belongs to |
| LOCATION | The Location the bin is linked to |
| STORAGE TYPE | The Physical bin type of the bin for dimensional definition |
| TYPE | The Logical bin type that defines the use of the bin in the system |
Once the values have been populated, use the Save button, and the new Bin will be created.
¶ EDIT
The EDIT action takes the same parameters as the ADD action. Select a Bin and use the EDIT action to change any of the parameter values for the selected Bin. Click Save to apply the changes.
¶ REMOVE
CAUTION
The Remove Action is used to Delete an existing Bin. This action is irreversible, so be careful. Once you click the action, and Accept the confirmation prompt, the Bin will be permanently deleted.
