¶ Overview
The Report designer is a key feature of the Qwix framework. It allows reports to be created, and linked directly within the Web Portal. No external tools are required. The Report component used is created by Devxpress.
To access the report designer, you need to have purchased the Report designer module. and you need to have administrator privileges in Qwix.
You may access the Report designer by clicking on the user icon (top right of window)
After this you may open and edit an existing report, or create a new report.

¶ Data Source(s)
A Datasource is the information source for a report. you may reference multiple data sources in a single report.

¶ Parameters
The Qwix Framework can pass built-in parameter values to the Report. This will automatically update the parameter values, and not prompt the user for the value.
The Qwix framework supports the following two parameters:
- ID - Creating a Parameter with this name, will automatically use the selected record's ID from the Table data, and pass it to the report.
- USERID - Using this named parameter in your report will automatically use the currently logged-in user-id and pass it to the report.

¶ Report Layouts
The Report Designer uses a WYSIWYG tool, which allows you to see the actual layout of the report as you design it, it also allows for quick previews within the designer to test drive your reports.
